Cyberhubs

The European Network of Cybersecurity Skills Hubs (CyberHubs) is a transformative initiative aimed at significantly enhancing Europe's cybersecurity professional skills ecosystem over a three-year period. The project seeks to meet the increasing demand for qualified cybersecurity professionals by establishing a sustainable network of seven Cybersecurity Skills Hubs across Europe. These hubs will serve as regional centers of excellence, fostering the continuous development of cybersecurity expertise and creating a skilled workforce capable of addressing evolving cybersecurity challenges.

CyberHubs will promote knowledge exchange, provide advanced training programs, and create synergies between educational institutions, industry stakeholders, and government agencies. The initiative's comprehensive approach ensures that it addresses immediate workforce needs while laying the groundwork for long-term professional development within the cybersecurity sector. CyberHubs aims to strengthen Europe's capacity to respond to cybersecurity threats and support its critical infrastructure's digital resilience by promoting cooperation and innovation.

The project is co-funded by the European Commission under the Erasmus+ program and involves a consortium of partners from across Europe, representing a diverse mix of expertise in cybersecurity education, research, and industry. Through this collaboration, CyberHubs aspires to build a robust and adaptable cybersecurity talent pipeline to benefit the participating countries and the entire European Union.

In Hungary, the project is implemented by Ludovika University of Public Service and the ICT Association of Hungary (IVSZ). As vital founders of the CyberHub in Hungary, these organizations play crucial roles in shaping the hub's services and ensuring its long-term sustainability. By fostering collaboration between educational institutions, industry stakeholders, and government bodies, they are helping to build a robust cybersecurity ecosystem in Hungary.

Furthermore, the university will be the main organizer of the European Cybersecurity Hackathon, a flagship event designed to bring together talent from across Europe, promoting innovation and providing participants with a hands-on opportunity to tackle real-world cybersecurity challenges. Through these efforts, Ludovika University will be at the forefront of Hungary's contribution to the European cybersecurity landscape.
